I love this layer. It's highly breathable, but offers sun and wind protection. I have just one recommendation: a light drawcord for the hood. I wore the hoody today on a breezy Colorado afternoon and the hood kept blowing off. The drawcord would keep the hood in place.
I'm looking forward to putting this piece to use in the Utah desert next week!
Lightweight breathable layer
I bought this a month ago and so far have been very happy. I've used it as it was designed for lightweight sun protection. It does well. Also because it breaths so well I've started using it as a mid layer during high output activities and been very happy with its performance. As far as fit goes I find it is roomy enough to layer undernearth but still wears tight enough to not get in the way when worn under a pack or harness. Not the most versitale piece of clothing but one that works well in specific settings. Also it packs small so it's ended up in my SAR pack quite a bit lately to serve as a synthetic mid layer.
